I see my last post was in the depths of winter - since when I have been hibernating, apart from two weeks in the sunshine of Catalunya. But now Spring is here - and it is time for the Global Art Project for Peace!
Every two years I take part in this amazing exchange of artworks, sharing visions of peace and goodwill. And I am always amazed and inspired by the incredible creativity and skills of the women I work with. Ts year I am opening my studio on two consecutive Sundays, in the hope that yet again we can create magic together. In past years we have made a dream-catcher mobile, a silk-painted wallhanging, and prayer flags using skills such as fabric-painting, embroidery and felt making. We have gratefully received beautiful artworks including quilts, ceramics, paintings and even a tepee, which is shared between peace groups and present at demonstations.
