Our explorations of colour mixing with watercolours continue - & this week it was playing with warm, cool and neutral colours.
I generally go for bright, saturated colours, but found myself loving the process of creating those neutrals, which are made by combining a hot with a cold colour, often complementaries. Underneath I've brainstormed the words evoked by the three types of colour and surprised myself by such positive feelings about the neutrals. They remind me of ice creams, sugared almonds and landscapes.
